VdZip respects the intellectual property rights of creators, authors, and content owners around the globe. We comply with the provisions of Title 17 of the United States Code, Section 512, commonly known as the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and equivalent international copyright laws.

1. Technical Nature of Our Service

It is vital to understand the operational architecture of VdZip:

  • VdZip is a client-side parsing utility. We do not host, store, index, or archive any video, audio, or multimedia files on our web servers.
  • All media files downloaded by users are delivered directly from the public origin servers of the respective social network (such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Reddit, etc.) to the user's browser.
  • We have no control over content uploaded to third-party social networks. To permanently delete infringing media, copyright holders must contact the platform hosting the video file.

2. How Copyright Owners Can Block URLs on VdZip

Although we do not host files, we are committed to assisting copyright holders. If you are the owner of copyrighted material and you wish to block our technical utility from parsing a specific URL or set of URLs, you may submit an official Notification of Claimed Infringement.

3. Required Information for DMCA Takedown Notices

To file an effective copyright notice with VdZip, your communication must include the following elements (pursuant to 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  2. Specific identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  3. Identification of the specific URL(s) on VdZip or the exact social media URL(s) you are requesting to have blocked by our tool.
  4. Sufficient contact information, including your full legal name, physical mailing address, telephone number, and valid email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
